ABOUT
ELIZE
ST. CHARLES
BALANCE. DEPTH. WISDOM. DEVOTION.

As a diversely intelligent practitioner, Dr. St. Charles, Ph.D., offers creativity and unconventional solutions in her practice. She is always digging deeper into the ‘why’ of a condition, especially ‘lost cause’ cases, as she was many years ago. Clients feel care in her balanced, whole-body approach. Marrying science with traditional wisdom gives ‘Doc Elize’ the talent for resolution of even worst-case scenarios.

Since childhood, ‘Doc Elize’ has been steeped in the principals that inform and guide her life as a healer. Her family roots gave her the important culture that understands the healing power of food and movement. Born into a family of ten, of a nurse who was a pioneer in the Canadian hospice movement (and who actively nursed the family and neighborhood) and a businessman whose hobbies included organic farming, squash (the racket sport) and salmon fishing, Elize was cooking up organic feasts, blending herbal tinctures and practicing hatha yoga in her teens. Her innocent tinkering grew into a passion, a passion that fed an incessant drive to explore the boundaries of health and healing.

Dr. St. Charles, Ph.D., is a pioneer; she produced a 5-star rated yoga video as early as 1990. She was implementing detoxification protocols years before ‘detox’ was even mentioned on the internet.  Fast forward to today, ‘Doc Elize’ has an encyclopedic knowledge base attracting physicians and lay people alike. In addition to being a certified traditional naturopath, she is trained in orthomolecular nutrition, Asian medical philosophies, East Indian Ayurveda, bio-toxin illnesses (mold and Lyme Disease), building biology, movement therapy and modern fitness science, music therapy and shamanism, to name a few (see below).

Dr. Elize St. Charles, Ph.D. is a rare find in the healthcare field. As a hard-hitting professional who speaks three languages, she is trained in finance and has an MBA – she was once Canada’s youngest institutional stockbroker. Dr. St. Charles, Ph.D., brings to the table truly unique skills, perspectives and a vast knowledge base that contribute to the health breakthroughs so common at The Healing Atelier.

Dr. St. Charles, Ph.D. has 40 years’ experience in healthcare and a profound understanding of health, not just illness. Her greatest joy is to empower her clients and students to understand and take charge of their own health.
